in class, on the bus, outdoors, anywhere I could. I devoured books like they were chocolate and I still do. You can’t be a serious writer unless you are a serious reader. That’s my belief anyway. I write young adult paranormal and I’m currently working on my first series, which you can check out on my Books page.

 

Okay, a few tidbits about me:

 

My favorite TV show used to be Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I don’t watch much TV anymore. With a full time job and a budding writing career, there just isn’t enough time. I love Jane Austen and do a Jane Austen movie marathon at least twice a year.

 

I love books and I can’t get enough of them. I mostly read Paranormal (YA, NA, Adult) these days, but I love a good zombie book too.

 

Baking is one of my favorite hobbies, especially in the colder months. I love making artisan breads mostly, but sometimes I will do muffins, cookies or even biscuits. You can’t live in the south and not learn to make good biscuits.

 

I grew up in the eighties so I have a soft spot for that decade. I mostly listen to classic rock now but I like country too. And I love classical music, especially Tchaikovsky.

 

I have two beautiful German Shepherds who make sure I don’t lose myself in my writing for too long. I also have three cats I adopted from the Humane Society. The last time I went to the shelter to rescue a kitten, I came back with two. I have no willpower when it comes to animals so I’m not allowed to go near that place anymore.

 

I am a romantic at heart and I believe in love ever after if you work at it. But I also believe that if you have to work too hard at it, then you probably aren’t meant to be. As far as marriage goes, I think Elizabeth Bennett said it best. “I am determined that nothing but the deepest love could ever induce me into matrimony.”

 

My biggest pet peeves are bad drivers, waiting (for anything), rude people, and bullies (of all ages). Karen Lynch
